About Jackie
Jackie has over 20 years’ experience in the helping professions. She has worked as a Youth Worker with disadvantaged young people, a teacher in the community services sector, and managed her own practice as a counsellor. In her work she applies various therapeutic modalities including solution-based approaches which are underpinned by her extensive knowledge and experience.
Jackie’s experience has enabled her to work with a range of people with a variety of issues including anxiety/depression, trauma, grief, self-harm, suicide, anxiety, addiction, school refusal, offending, relationship issues and parenting. Jackie attributes her success to her ability to build rapport quickly, be non-judgmental, and be genuine in her approach.
Jackie recognises that starting anything new can be confronting and a leap of faith. In fact, it can be confronting looking inward and facing yourself. It is important to recognise that while it can be a difficult process, the outcomes will outweigh the struggles. Remember, you deserve the effort, hard work, time, support and guidance, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Jackie offers couples/marriage counselling, individual counselling, adolescents counselling and family counselling.
